Trauma Therapy
Your Path to Healing

No matter what happened, how long ago it was, or how insignificant or unspeakable it may seem, you can heal from trauma. You have the power to reclaim your life and rediscover joy. Addressing trauma is not easy, and the thought of confronting your wounds can feel overwhelming and scary. I am here to provide a safe space where you can explore the effects of your trauma at your own pace and comfort level.

Trauma is the unique way that our body reacts to stress. It is a person's emotional, psychological, or physical response to an event or series of events that are deeply distressing or disturbing. These events often overwhelm our ability to cope, leading to lasting negative effects on mental health and well-being. Trauma shapes how we function both internally and externally, influencing how we respond to daily stressors. When we experience trauma, we often flee our bodies to protect ourselves, much like escaping a burning building. Often, this means numbing the pain, but in doing so, we also numb our joy and ability to live fully. I’m here to gently and safely guide you back to connecting with yourself and your life. I will help create safety, tend to the hurt, and allow space for what needs to be expressed. Together, we will restore your nervous system so that you can feel regulated and at peace again. My goal is to help you heal and regain a sense of safety and control in your life.

Trauma therapy can also help you develop healthy boundaries, prioritize your needs, and shift from feeling anxious and overwhelmed to having a regulated nervous system and a sense of safety in the world. It can help you go from feeling small and silent to speaking your truth and living a full life. It can transform depression into more moments of joy, replace shame with a deeper understanding of your worth, and shift you from numbing or avoiding your pain to being able to sit with and express your emotions fully.
